Transforming a decades old club into a leading talent launchpad in the region by investing into youth and becoming a knowledge center for basketball.
Legendary playground
Ilirija calls Hala Tivoli its home and it is de facto the most iconic sports hall in the history of Slovenia’s basketball. The arena sits patiently to turn back the clock and starts bringing in 4.000 fans per game.
Hometown - Ljubljana
Ljubljana is a beautiful city that puts an emphasis on being people-friendly, shows respect to its history and is a cultural center with many green areas.
A true heart of Slovenia, a country that ranks among the top globally in environmental performance index (7), area covered by forests (20), income equality (1), global peace index measuring safety (7) and Olympic medals per capita (9). A green oasis with very good infrastructure and an advanced educational system.
Youth
We support our future generations with over 3.500 hours of basketball annually. Team of 5 coaches and a dedicated fitness specialist make sure that the upcoming generations have solid basketball fundamentals, excellent physical skills and enjoy playing the game. Currently 100 children populate our youth programs and we will keep growing the number.
Competitions
Ilirija currently resides in the upper echelons of First Slovenian National Basketball league, Slovenian Cup and Alpe Adria competition.
We are fighting for a spot in ABA 2 regional league and don't hide the ambition of one day playing in ABA 1, one of most regarded European basketball competitions.
